WHAT IT IS
An 1880s cattle-drive stop and reputed brothel at a crossroads named Yeehaw Junction. A truck hit it in 2019.
It stood where the cattle trails crossed, serving drovers, then Model T tourists, then anyone on the Florida Turnpike who wanted a hamburger and a look at the murals. It made the National Register. In 2019 a truck driver lost control and took out much of the building; restoration has been promised and stalled. What remains is a boarded frame at an intersection whose name is the best in the state.
