WHAT IT IS
The highest point in Florida, at 345 feet. It is lower than the highest point of every other state, and there is a picnic table.
Every state has a high point and highpointers collect them. Florida's is a low rise in a Walton County park near the Alabama line, marked by a granite plaque, a picnic table, and a sign that does not oversell it. It is the lowest state summit in the country by more than 100 feet, which makes it the only one a person can drive to and then miss. Alabama's own high point, 80 miles away, is nearly seven times taller.
