CRYPTID SITES IN FLORIDA

One entry, which is the honest count.

Florida's contribution to American cryptozoology is the skunk ape: seven feet, foul-smelling, reportedly resident in Big Cypress. It has a headquarters on the Tamiami Trail with an evidence room, plaster footprint casts, a small zoo out the back and a very large statue out the front, because one man in Ochopee has spent fifty years insisting on it and built the institution to match.

That is the whole category, and padding it out with places that merely have a legend attached would make the register worse. The haunted entries are next door if you want the supernatural rather than the zoological, and the roadside giants cover the statues.
